What does it mean to be a board certified veterinary cardiologist?


A board certified veterinary specialist is a veterinarian that has successfully completed the highest level of training in their particular field. This involves completion of undergraduate studies (4 years), veterinary studies (4years), a general rotating internship (1 year), and a 3-year specialty residency. A board certified veterinary cardiologist has mastered the knowledge and skills within the field of cardiology and he/she is equipped to manage and treat all forms of cardiovascular disease in your pet.
